Unordinary Sport is the front of artist Ayles K who mixes a love of sport with a love of making pretty things. As a young girl, there were many attempts to be a sportswoman including doing the high jump (never grew beyond 5ft 5), hurdling (kept on falling over the flipping hurdles), basketball (see high jump), football (no organised teams for girls in the local area - the garden fence took the brunt of crosses whipped in from the right), running (dodgy knee before ACLs were a thing) and rowing (too much rubbish in the river). Though technically minded and enthusiastic in approach, she had to settle for life as an armchair pundit and artist. Unordinary Sport is an attempt at exploring and celebrating the exceptional myriad of women's sport.
